Jordan and I had a great weekend this weekend! It started off exceptional for me, I was done with work early on Friday and was able to come home and get a handful of weekend "to do's" done before the weekend even started!

Saturday we got up and picked up our first bountiful basket!
We were so happy with what we received, we came home, cut up some of our fresh fruit and enjoyed it with yogurt! YUMMY! We then started laundry and I was feeling domestic so I made a pasta salad that we had with sandwiches for lunch.

Later I made Oatmeal/Chocolate Chip cookies that thankfully we are still enjoying!

Then we headed outside, Jordan flagged all of our sprinkler heads as we had a guy coming on Sunday to aerate our lawn and I watered the sections of my flower beds that don't get rain because of the rain gutters.

If you saw someone at church measuring the church pews, would you think they were crazy? We got to church early Saturday night so that I could measure the church pews for our wedding florist, my aunt, Donna Jones. She will be making bows for the first few rows of pews at the church.... I am sure that we looked a little odd, I had a sewing tape measure and Jordan was writing down the measurements, the only thing we forgot to do was a take a picture for Donna! I guess we'll have to do that another weekend!

We ended the night by watching the Bronco Men play in the WAC Championship basketball game, the guys played well and battled back into the game many times, however, the win didn't happen. I'm sure they will get into the NIT though!

Today, Sunday we slept in, the time change threw us off a little, but not a lot. We enjoyed more fresh fruit and yogurt for breakfast, then got ready to meet with our DJ! We are all set with our DJ for our wedding, one final vendor meeting to check off the list!

We had a great weekend and we will be ordering more bountiful baskets in the near future! Thank you Tiffany and Alisha for telling me about the baskets!!!!!

Long time no post

The few followers that I have probably think I have given up on my blog.

Well, I haven't given up, we have just been so busy that I always forget about it! Let's just say wedding plans have taken over our lives and we are so excited for our wedding but it will also be nice for it to be over.

This past Saturday we finished our Pre-Marriage classes through the church, we had 2 Saturday's a in a row were we had to attend classes in order to get married in the church. The classes were enjoyable, we did a lot of talking to each other about all kinds of things, it was something that we enjoyed and would recommend to any couple.

The next few weekends to come are also booked, my mom is making my wedding dress (once the wedding is over, I'll blog about the dress and post "before, during and after" photos) it is coming along beautifully and I am so excited about it! Mom, you're doing a WONDERFUL job! I am headed home this weekend to do more work on it with her. We are well on our way with it, just final touches now!

The last weekend in February we are planning to do engagement photos with our photographer in the hopes that we'll get prints and include them in our invitations.... keep your fingers crossed that we'll have good weather and have some good photos to choose from! That same weekend, mom is going to come over with her sewing supplies and get started, if not finished, on Annie's dress, yes she is also making the bridesmaid dresses!

The first weekend in March hopefully we'll get all the envelopes addressed for the invitations.... we all know I don't have the best handing writing, my Matron of honor Tiffany and her sister Alisha have agreed to assist me with the addressing.... THANK YOU LOVELY LADIES in advance!

It just goes on and on up until the wedding day! I am very excited about the upcoming months, but it will be nice to be married and hopefully have things slow down.... but I hear it never slows down.... well, here's hoping!

We are engaged!

The story:

I worked Saturday in Vale @ The Willowcreek Store & Cafe, a restaurant that my parents own. Before I left for the weekend, I asked Jordan to buy me a trowel because I was going to bring home flowers from mom & dad's to transplant in our flower beds. Confused? It will all come together in a second!

I worked all day at the Store, we served 60 prime rib dinners, and I drove back to Boise Saturday night, arriving home , in Boise, at midnight Saturday night. Jordan was up waiting for me.

Very odd, there were a dozen red roses on the kitchen table. I asked Jordan, "What are the flowers all about?" He said, "I just wanted to get you some flowers."
Odd, cause Jordan doesn't often buy me flowers.

I turned the corner and a large rubber maid tub was on the couch and it was gift wrapped with a large bow on top. I asked Jordan "What is that?" and he said, "Just something for you."

After some teasing and wondering, I opened the box, inside it was another wrapped box, and 3 more wrapped boxes inside those boxes. Inside the last box was a trowel, yes, a red trowel.... I said, "All this for trowel?" Jordan smiled and said, "I have one more box for you" and pulled the ring box out of his pocket and said "Will you marry me?" I said "OF COURSE!"

LOVES and HUGS and TEARS and a only a few phone calls because it was 12:30 in the morning! :)

We have had a wonderful Sunday, sleeping in, went to breakfast @ Quinns, drank mimosas with breakfast to celebrate, had lots of phone calls and texts all day, and yes, I planted the flowers that I got from mom & dad using my new trowel :)

The story!!!!! Jordan definitely surprised me, confused me with the trowel and caught me off guard! WAHOO! We are engaged!!!!!

BB Gun Update

I have been scouting some squirrels in the back lawn! When I'm home I keep the blinds open and look every time I walk by. I have figured out that the best method is to go out the front door and sneak up on them in the back lawn. (They run when I open the back door, this is bad for kill shots!).

My BB gun, that I like to call The Pink Thriller has scared off quite a few flower eating squirrels! It doesn't kill them, it just gives them a good STINGER!
